                  <choice><abbr>St</abbr><expan>Street</expan></choice></name>. The shop is on the west side of the <lb/>
               street in middle of the block, near the <lb/> <name type="place" subtype="building"><name type="institution" subtype="religious_institution"><choice><abbr>C. M. E.</abbr><expan>Christian Methodist Episcopal</expan></choice> Church</name></name>.
                He makes any style <lb/>
               of small furniture, such as card tables<choice><orig/><reg>,</reg></choice> <lb/>
               end tables, book racks and troughs, what<lb break="no"/>nots,<note type="contextual">A <mentioned>whatnot</mentioned> is "[a] kind of stand, or piece of furniture, having shelves for books, ornaments, etc.; an étagère" (<title level="m"><ref target="./abbreviations.xml#wrud">WRUD</ref></title>).</note> children<choice><orig/><reg>'</reg></choice>s desks, brick-a-brac shelves, <lb/>
