         <p style="indent"><name type="person">Thomas Walker</name> is the author of several books of prose and verse. Among<lb/>

            in metrical form<choice><orig>,</orig><reg/></choice> and has also composed a poem, <title level="a"><hi style="underline">To my Sweet Little Girl.</hi></title>  Some<lb/>
            of his books have had a wide circulation<choice><orig>:</orig><reg>;</reg></choice> over 15,000 copies of <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Man Without<lb/>
            Blemish</hi></title> and about the same number of <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Presidents of Liberia</hi></title> have been sold.<lb/>

            Dr. Walker was born in <name type="place" subtype="city"><ptr target="tallahassee-fl"/>Tallahassee</name>, received his early education there, <lb/>
            and began preaching before he was <choice><orig>16</orig><reg>sixteen</reg></choice> years old.  He attended school in <name type="place" subtype="city"><ptr target="jacksonville-fl"/>Jack<choice><orig>&#8212;</orig><reg/></choice><lb break="no"/>sonville</name>,
            <name type="place" subtype="campus"><ptr target="clark-university"/><name type="institution" subtype="educational_instituion">Clark University</name></name>, and <name type="place" subtype="campus"><ptr target="gammon-theological-seminary"/><name type="institution" subtype="educational_instituion">Gammon Thelogical Seminary</name></name> in <name type="place" subtype="city"><ptr target="atlanta"/>Atlanta, <name type="place" subtype="state"><ptr target="georgia"/>Georgia</name></name>.<lb/>
            He has traveled extensively and lectured in cities as far away as <name type="place" subtype="city"><ptr target="paris-france"/>Paris</name>, <name type="place">France</name>.<lb/>
            He has pastored several prominent Methodist Episcopal churches in <name type="place" subtype="state"><ptr target="florida"/>Florida</name>. The<lb/>
            title <mentioned><choice><abbr>K.C.</abbr><expan>Knight Commander</expan></choice></mentioned><!--<note type="contextual">Possibly, Knight Commander.             Florida Negro minister mentioned in <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Who's Who in Methodism</hi></title>. <lb/>
