         <p><name type="person">Thomas Walker</name> is the author of several books of prose and verse. Among<lb/>
            these are <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Crowther of Sierra Leone</hi></title>, which is used as a text in the schools of<lb/>
            <name type="place">Liberia</name>; <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Presidents of Liberia</hi></title>, for students, containing sketches of the

            presidents and some of the leaders of <name type="place">Liberia</name>; two novels, <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Man without Blemish</hi></title>,<lb/>
            and <title level="m"><hi style="underline">J. Johnson, or <title level="a">the Unknown Man.</title></hi></title><!-- I researched and confirmed title in the Library of Congress website, https://www.loc.gov/item/15016777/ -->  He has re-written <title level="m"><choice><orig>the book</orig><reg>The Book</reg></choice> of Revelations</title><lb/>
            in metrical form, and has also composed a poem, <title level="a"><hi style="underline">To my Sweet Little Girl.</hi></title>  Some<lb/>
            of his books have had a wide circulation: over 15,000 copies of <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Man Without<lb/>
            Blemish</hi></title> and about the same number of <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Presidents of Liberia</hi></title> have been sold.<lb/>
            Dr. Walker was born in <name type="place">Tallahassee</name>, received his early education there, <lb/>
            and began preaching before he was 16 years old.  He attended school in <name type="place">Jack<lb break="no"/>sonville</name>,
            <name type="institution">Clark University</name>, and <name type="institution">Gammon Thelogical Seminary</name> in <name type="place">Atlanta</name>, <name type="place">Georgia</name>.<lb/>
            He has traveled extensively and lectured in cities as far away as <name type="place">Paris</name>, <name type="place">France</name>.<lb/>
            He has pastored several prominent <name type="institution">Methodist Episcopal churches</name> in <name type="place">Florida</name>. The<lb/>

He is the only<lb/>
            Florida Negro minister mentioned in <title level="m"><hi style="underline">Who's Who in Methodism</hi></title>. <lb/>
